Geotechnical Intelligence

Ground Truth. Zero Settlement.

A multi-crore asset is only as secure as the earth beneath it. Do not design foundations on assumptions. Our engineering team executes rigorous Geotechnical Soil Investigations—extracting precise sub-strata data to engineer safe, optimized, and failure-proof foundations.

When to deploy geotechnical analysis.

High-Rise & Deep Foundations

Vertical expansion dramatically multiplies bearing pressure. We extract deep-strata core samples to determine exactly at what depth hard rock occurs, dictating whether you need costly pile foundations or standard spread footings.

Pile Foundation Design

Industrial Heavy Machinery

Manufacturing plants do not just exert static weight; they generate massive dynamic vibrations. We assess soil shear strength and compressibility to engineer heavy-duty machine foundations that will not undergo differential settlement.

Dynamic Load Bearing

Pre-Purchase Land Acquisition

Never acquire commercial acreage without verifying the sub-surface. Our rapid exploratory boreholes can detect loose fill, clay traps, or unstable soil profiles *before* you finalize a multi-crore real estate transaction.

Land Due Diligence

Coastal & Reclaimed Terrain

Chennai's coastal corridors and reclaimed marshlands are highly susceptible to soil liquefaction and sinking. We execute specialized Standard Penetration Tests (SPT) to guarantee your asset survives in high-risk geographic zones.

Liquefaction Assessment
Execution Methodology

Deep strata extraction. Zero guesswork.

We deploy heavy-duty rotary drilling rigs and in-situ testing equipment to penetrate unpredictable terrain, retrieving the exact physical evidence required to calculate your safe bearing capacity.

Core Extraction

Hydraulic Rotary Drilling

Deploying mechanized rigs to bore deep into the earth, penetrating through loose fill, clay, and weathered rock to extract undisturbed sub-strata core samples directly to the surface for laboratory analysis.

In-Situ N-Value

Standard Penetration Test (SPT)

The global benchmark for geotechnical mapping. We execute controlled drop-hammer impacts inside the borehole to calculate the critical 'N-Value', establishing the exact in-situ density and resistance of the soil profile.

Direct Bearing Cap.

Plate Load Testing

Crucial for heavy industrial and factory environments. We apply immense physical hydraulic pressure directly to a steel plate on-site, perfectly simulating the actual stress your concrete foundation will endure.

Triaxial Shear

NABL Laboratory Analysis

Field execution is only half the battle. Extracted soil cores are transported to our NABL-accredited laboratory environments for rigorous Triaxial Shear and Consolidation testing to derive exact cohesion metrics.

The Deliverable

The Geotechnical Dossier. Sub-strata certainty.

We do not just hand you raw bore logs and dirt samples. We deliver a comprehensive, structured geotechnical ledger that provides your structural engineering team with the exact Safe Bearing Capacity (SBC) and foundation directives required to engineer a failure-proof asset.

I
Empirical Mapping

Sub-Strata Stratigraphy

The foundation of the report. A detailed geological profile mapping every layer of earth encountered during drilling, including exact depths of soil transition, groundwater table levels, and corresponding SPT N-values.

II
Mathematical Synthesis

Bearing Capacity & Settlement

We synthesize the NABL laboratory data (Shear, Consolidation) to calculate the precise Safe Bearing Capacity (SBC) at various depths. We also project long-term settlement parameters to ensure your structure will not sink over its 50+ year lifespan.

III
Engineering Directives

Foundation Recommendations

We provide definitive, actionable directives on the optimal foundation type for your specific load (e.g., Isolated Spread, Raft, or Deep Pile foundations). We also include soil chemical analyses (pH, Sulphates) to dictate the specific cement grade required to prevent sub-surface concrete corrosion.

Geotechnical Realities

The catastrophic cost of assumption.

Soil testing is not a municipal formality; it is a financial shield. In Chennai's unpredictable terrain, skipping a geotechnical investigation frequently leads to one of two massive financial disasters.

Financial Threat 01

The Over-Engineering Trap

The Assumption A developer skips soil testing to "save money." The architect, forced to guess the soil strength, designs massive, over-engineered deep pile foundations to avoid legal liability.
The Consequence The client blindly spends millions of rupees on unnecessary concrete, steel reinforcement, and heavy drilling equipment.
The Engineering Solution A standard Geotechnical SPT Audit mathematically proves when "hard rock refusal" exists at shallow depths. A ₹40,000 soil test routinely saves ₹25+ Lakhs in wasted foundation costs.
Financial Threat 02

Differential Settlement

The Assumption A factory owner uses standard spread footings, assuming the soil is stable because the "building next door" was fine.
The Consequence Unknown to them, their plot sits on a hidden pocket of loose clay. The heavy structure sinks unevenly, causing massive diagonal column cracks and tilting the entire asset.
The Engineering Solution Deep rotary drilling maps the exact stratigraphy of the earth. We identify liquefiable zones and clay traps before construction begins, allowing engineers to design a zero-settlement structure.
Commercial Transparency

Uncompromising data. Transparent economics.

We reject the industry standard of hidden mobilization fees and vague estimates. Below is our definitive commercial ledger for executing rigorous geotechnical soil investigations in the Chennai metropolitan area.

Base Geotechnical Audit
12,000
per borehole (up to 10 meters)

Includes standard penetration (SPT), undisturbed core extraction up to 10m depth, NABL laboratory analysis, and the generation of your final Geotechnical Dossier with SBC recommendations.

Deep Strata Extension
1,200
per meter (beyond 10 meters)

If statutory 'hard rock refusal' is not achieved at the baseline 10-meter mark, our rigs will continue penetrating the earth. We execute depth extensions in controlled 2-meter intervals until a safe bearing strata is proven.

Rig Deployment
3,000
base logistics fee (one-time)

A one-time site mobilization fee covering the transportation of heavy rotary drilling rigs and technical crew. Note: This fee is a baseline for Chennai city limits and may vary slightly based on exact site pin code topography.

How many boreholes do you need?

Your total investment is dictated by the exact footprint of your project. We strictly adhere to the guidelines set by IS 1892:2021 (Code of Practice for Subsurface Investigation) to ensure your report

Standard Plots (Up to 500 sq.m): IS Code mandates a minimum of 2 to 3 boreholes to establish a reliable baseline cross-section for residential and standard commercial footing.
Large Footprints (Up to 4000 sq.m): IS Code mandates a minimum of 5 boreholes (one in each of the four corners, and one in the central axis) to map unpredictable strata shifts across expansive industrial sites.
Site Reality Checks

Geotechnical logistics. Answered.

Can I just use the soil report from the building next door?

Absolutely not. Soil stratigraphy is highly volatile. A massive pocket of soft clay or a sudden drop in the bedrock level can occur within a span of just 10 meters. Relying on adjacent plot data is a severe legal liability and the leading cause of unexpected foundation settlement.

My plot currently has an old house on it. Do I need to demolish it before you can test the soil?

Not necessarily. If there is a minimum clearance area of 10x10 feet and a clear 1-meter pathway to access it, we can deploy highly portable tripod rigs (caliper rigs) to execute the SPT drilling in the setbacks or driveway. This allows your architects to design the new foundation while you are still awaiting demolition permits, saving critical project time.

Our site is completely waterlogged. Can your rigs still operate?

Yes. Many plots along the OMR and ECR corridors suffer from high water tables or monsoon waterlogging. We deploy specialized rigs and use heavy-duty steel casing pipes to prevent borehole collapse in marshy areas. Surface water does not compromise our ability to extract accurate sub-strata data.

Do we need to arrange 3-phase electricity or water for your drilling team?

Our mechanized rotary rigs run on diesel and are entirely self-sufficient regarding power. However, rotary drilling does require a steady water supply to flush the borehole during extraction. If your empty plot lacks a borewell or municipal water connection, please inform us so we can arrange water tankers at an additional logistical cost.

Is a Geotechnical Soil Report mandatory for CMDA approval?

Yes. For multi-story residential apartments, commercial complexes, and industrial factories in Chennai, the CMDA strictly mandates a certified soil investigation report to approve the structural drawings. Our Authorized Engineering team provides the legally compliant dossier required for rapid clearance.
